I just finished preparing for the practical exam tomorrow. There are so many things to prepare i almost die out there. Anyway, this is not what i'm discussing for this post. Let me tell ya' something.
Still remember on the first year i enrolled into physical therapy school not that i was regret, it was just tough. It was so tough it requires you to read and read and read because that's the only way to excel yourself. Plus, dealing with patients you may need a lot of knowledge for a lot of things like effectiveness and proves and stuff. It was so tough sometimes you just feel like giving up.
Years later, i mean, after the coming exams i will officially be year-3 student. Year 3. Time really does fly. And days ago when i was visualizing my future i feel so happy, you know? Now i am really enjoying what i'm studying right now. It is fun, it is interesting, it is useful, it feels so good to know so many skillful techniques that you can help a lot of people; the things only you know. I'm so happy. Of course, when it comes down to exams and assignments and some let-downs i will feel so bad so terrible i even can't breath. Maybe my expectation is very high. But, i need it for a reason. Everybody does things for a reason, don't they? But now, i'm really enjoying what i'm doing. I really like it.
I saw this online and i really want to share it with you all.
"Somebody asked me: "Hei, you're a physio? How much do you make?" I replied: "HOW MUCH DO I MAKE?" ...hmmm....
I can make holding your hand seem like the most important thing in the world when you're afraid...
I can help make you walk when you can't...
I can make you to retain your strength after an accident.
I can make your pain go away, when maybe your pills can't.
I can give you hope when you have lost one.
I can make you get up from a wheel chair.
I can make you healthy, fit and strong,
I work all day to make my patients live life well,...
I will drop everything and run to make sure you never fall!!!
I make my family wait for dinner until I know your family member is taken care of...
I make myself skip lunch so that I can make sure that everything I did for you today was correct...
I work weekends and holidays because people don't just get
sick Monday through Saturday and during normal working hours.
Today, I might make your life complete.
How much do I make?
All I know is, I make a difference!
I work and study as hard as any other medical professional.
I am proud to be a physiotherapist ! "
He wrote it so well. That's what we do. This job won't make you big money, won't make you serious money. But what it makes you, the list is up there. If we are after big money we won't do this job. We are not doctors. Doctors do make big money when they go higher. Us? We won't be driving Mercedes, we can't afford banglo and luxurious stuff... Unless you open your own clinic then maybe, yes. But generally, it is tough.
We need money for survival. And another fact i like about it is, it can bring me around the world in the future. One day when i'm done studying and skilled myself with enough knowledge, i'm going after the world. Thus, i'm very hardworking to gear myself up so i could do what those in my mind, you know?
Now, i'm just happy. So happy. I know failure is a must a long the way but i believe passion will always keep me going. Thanks for all that, God.
