Hellish month in Peneng

on Wednesday, December 24, 2014
I can finally assess to the internet! I have so many to tell this blog post gonna be a lot of ramblings!

I came to Peneng a month ago and i didn't expect my posting would go that way. On the first day when i reached Peneng airport it took me an hour plus to reach the place i stay. Peneng is a small island and it's no way to take so long but you know, there are so many cars and motorbikes you just won't believe it. It's super dangerous when you cross the road a motorbike can pass by you any minute without you noticing it. So, i reached Komtar and it was 9pm. We didn't know how to get to our place and a taxi driver conned us. I don't even have to go on. Oh wait, and Peneng drivers like to honk! A lot!

The first week in HPP was hell I almost quit my course. The people over there are horrible they just have to do so many mean things. The following days i have to actually sit alone at a place that's far away from the department, which i can escape seeing their faces for just a short moment, to prepare myself for another tough day. That week was hell i count down the hours to finish the day everyday. You have no idea.

On the second week when Madam Chan visited us it was a relief. Her presence made things so much easier. Ever since that day my respect for her had increased abundantly. I just have to. The third week went quite fast and this week is the last week. I tried to avoid OPD but i couldn't anymore for this week but now i left the last day. Tomorrow is Christmas so i don't have to go to work, Friday would be my last day. The day i have waited long. Thank God. But again, the last week we spent a lot of time with the HOD and i learnt so much from her. She was very intelligent she made us see things the way she did. It was simply great.

My friends helped me through the tough month i thanked them a lot. But such environment is the one that makes you grow much more than you know. It's this that makes you become and behave better than them. Wherever seed goes, it grows and it blooms one day. Have faith and keep going. Keep walking, don't stop.

It's Christmas eve and here i wish all of you a Merry Christmas! And, i can't wait to be home already!

P/S: I'll be one of the 20% you were talking about, Ms Yew.

He's my reason

on Saturday, November 29, 2014
Today I'm leaving to Peneng for a month for my clinical posting. I was kinda... not wanting to go cuz' Peneng is one of the places i like the least. Anyway, i would have to see if that month will change my mind. I got everything prepared and yeah, hoping for a safe flight. So many unfortunate flight incidents these days.

My mom told me this morning that my dad can't stop worrying about me taking bus to the airport, taking flight to Peneng and more last night, and he couldn't finish his breakfast this morning. If i would be a few years younger it will piss me off but now thinking of it, he's really sweet. My dad is exactly the reason why i want to be a father next time. To be able to share the love my dad had given me. That's a pleasure.

I'll be fine. :)

I SAW DAVID BECKHAM IN PERSON!

on Saturday, November 15, 2014
I SAW DAVID BECKHAM IN PERSON!

I went to Pavilion shopping centre yesterday to have dinner with my friends and so happen that David Beckham was there to augment a function! So yeah, he was there, moving and shaking hands and smiling, so vividly, with your own real eyes you're watching him, it's like, are you freaking dreaming?! I can't believe that i saw him in my country it's just blowing off my mind! This is a lifetime opportunity, you may not even get to meet him one time your whole life, this international recognised footballer, model, and celebrity? I'm so happy i saw him yesterday!

And my recent updates, it was going fine and of course there will always be some problems but it's all under control ;) The things in Peneng was all settled, and the marathon volunteer thing has been confirmed, and the exams are coming before we go off for posting. And, i planned to buy an I-pad. Saving money for it actually.. so i hope to get it by next February!

Hope you all are having a great day!

Wanna be just like them

on Sunday, November 9, 2014
I got an email not long ago saying that we all as volunteers in an ultramarathon has been confirmed. So, this time is really happening. Guess i just need reporting time and gathering venue.

Exams are coming before we off to our posting. One of my friends who supposed to bring car so we'll be able to drive to the hospital, bailed us, and left us. We were forced to move from the place we thought we gonna stay for a month, which requires car to reach the hospital, to another place. My friends in Ampang were really helpful they called and asked if i needed help. They found me one place and public transport is available. Thank God for such decency. Thank you my friends. And, my college friends are mostly irresponsible jerks.

We discussed about low back pain on Friday with Ms Chan and yeah, we got a lot of extra information. And i know that one day i want to become just like her. My college has got a lot of experienced and fantastic lecturers. Let me just put it this way: I want to be a physical therapist who is as organized as influential as Prof Chan, as organized as Mr Raj, as skillful as Ms Chan, and as knowledgeable as Mr Parthiban. <3 p="">
P/S: Ms Chan is retiring soon and i'm want to do something decent for her. What should i do hmm...

Wed

on Sunday, November 2, 2014
My mom and I attended a church wedding this evening and it was lovely. The foods were so-so but the environment and performances were pretty good. Well, it's a lovely night anyway. Best wishes to the newlywed!

Bad time will go, good time will come

on Thursday, October 30, 2014
I know that no matter how long a bad circumstance lasts it will pass one day. But when the 'bad thing' stays too long you start wondering when only will it go? You start thinking too much and your day will just be so full with those negative thoughts.

Yes, something bad happened again. I so wished not to write anything negative anymore but it had to happened to me all the time. This month, what a month. I feel too tired to explain all over again so i would just say, stay positive and optimistic, bad time will go, good time will come, stay tune and wait for its arrival. Don't doubt yourself, when people bring you down the last thing you do is doubt your own personality and being convinced and get carried away. No. You don't do that. Trust yourself. Be confident on yourself if you think you're right and harms no one. Have faith. Good time will come. It will.

LBCA reunion

on Tuesday, October 21, 2014
Today was great, it was so great i haven't laughed so hard in so long!

Jasmine whatsapp'ed me last week and she asked me if i'm free to attend LBCA reunion, and without hesitation i said YES! OF COURSE! I'm so happy they invited me!

We all walked our different way now but sometimes, a catch up like this was simply a blessing!

Vicki just survived a cancer, and she looked awesome as usual still! I'm so happy for her!

Jasmine, she left her old legal firm, that's LBCA, and currently working at another legal firm.

Yen, she's working in a developer company, and she took part in so many interesting events. She showed us some photos which literally killed us on the spot!

Mei Enn, she's a barrister now, she makes good coffee and latte art, is it how you all coffee drinker call it? But she's doing great too!

And me, i'm studying physical therapy, currently in my year 3 and striving to survive and graduate at the end of this course.

We're all doing our own stuff, and all were former LBCA staffs except Vicki, and we had so much fun today! We talked and laughed and eat, life should be just like this, fun! But CM, my teacher, never came. She always comes up with thousands of excuses even in our last meal. And so is this time. I didn't see her in so long too... I hope she's doing well.

Today is just fun! So fun! I'm so happy today!

Keep walking, don't stop

on Sunday, October 19, 2014
Last Sunday was tough, this Sunday is better... Last 2 weeks had been bad and i hope the coming week will be better... My friends and I supposed to volunteer in Standard Chatered Bank marathon last Sunday but something happened, we were told there was a miscommunication and that's it. So we went back. My friends and I had some conflicts with each other, as if everything was my fault. When things work out well everybody is happy, but as things go wrong and i'm taking all the blame. Tough Sunday last week. But the rain is subsiding, sun is coming out again...

I left my contacts there in the marathon and somebody contacted me to recruit some physical therapist students as medical volunteer in the coming ultramarathon. It is a great news. I'm starting to have some contacts out there. So, i'm waiting for more details. I hope things to go well this time. And I joined as a medical volunteer in Viper Challenge 2014 and i heard some good news just now. The organizer will provide us accommodation as well since it's a 2 days competition. So we don't have to travel back to kl and go back to Sepang in the midnight the next day. Great news, isn't it? I just have to do some reading before going there. I will do my best, throw myself out there and sprout. Bryan, you can do it!

My friend's grandpa got stroke 6 weeks ago and she called me if i could help her out. I've done a week of reading before going there but he turned out to be pretty unstable. I didn't manage to perform any assessments. I contacted my neuro lecturer and he gave me so much encouragement and advices too... I will try again, just try again. Fall and back to the feet and try again. Things will get better..

Keep walking, don't stop.

Thanks for making me stronger

on Wednesday, October 8, 2014
I told myself that i would stop thinking about the way my friends treated me and for the past few days i thought i lived through it but apparently, not so. Of course it is better now but it still bugs me. And then i saw the wound on my finger, the wound i get from the volunteer work last Saturday. I hurt myself when i carried some stuff. So, i looked at it and it's recovering. Days before it was moist, soft and reddish, now it's turning dry, hard, and dark red. It's recovering. The human body has the ability to recover from wound let it be physically, mentally or emotionally, it will recover one day. My body is recovering. I'm recovering. Someday in the future this lesson will help, so, thanks for making me stronger.

IMC carnival

on Saturday, October 4, 2014
I spent my Saturday on a volunteering job. It was a carnival for the disabled kids and adults and it was a huge success. Maybe i whine a little but i had so much fun at the end of the day and i'm happy i volunteered for such an amazing event. There were so many fun incidents it's pretty impossible to tell everything here but you know, i will definitely volunteer again in the coming year.

Glad that i joined.

It's a pretty sad day

on Monday, September 29, 2014
I fell sick. I walked to the lecture hall with a sick body and waited outside until the lecturer came and unlock the hall. I was standing with the rest of my friends and Jason came up to me and asked if i would be staying with him during the coming clinical posting in Peneng. He's got a house in Peneng. I explained to him about renting a house with Eddy they all, i'm trying to understand his circumstance, and i ended up being questioned.

"The car to go up North is full."
"The house is already filled with Eddy, Yin Yi and Tammy."
"How you gonna travel up?"
"Where you gonna stay."

There were a lot more but basically, i was ditched by them. We are not ordinary friends like hi-bye friend. We hang out, we celebrate birthdays, we go posting together, we do school works together, we been to debate together. We are not ordinary friend. And they ditched me. The first thing i asked myself was, have i done something hateful to them that they resented me so much? And i can't get any answer.

We are talking about posting in a foreign state. A foreign place. How on earth would you do such thing to a friend who just celebrated your birthday? But i think i've got a similar experience so i didn't end up with huge emotional fluctuations, instead i looked pretty calm. But still, it's saddening.

When you think you friend had your back, they do just exactly the opposite way.

Arab cuisine

on Sunday, September 21, 2014
I'd tried Arab cuisine once so far in my life and it gave me a bad impression and ever since, i never even thought of giving it a 2nd chance. But today, it changed my perception totally.

It was my friend's birthday and he said he wanted to bring us to an Arab restaurant. I wasn't supposed to say anything to object a birthday boy's wish and i went along with his plan. Luckily i didn't, the foods were terribly good.

I do not have any photos taken on the foods we ordered but generally, the rice and chicken meat were good, but the best? The best has to be the lamb. Just, wow! I never liked anything make of lamb but this lamb kebab, my god it was so good! If you're a virgin to Arab cuisine, try this restaurant out: Alfurqan. Real good.

Happy birthday, CCC! And, Happy 700th post, Bryan!

There I told my respectable teacher...

on Tuesday, September 16, 2014
Today went pretty great.

As i said earlier, i got my result and i was pretty upset about it. I headed to the office to meet my mentor who happened to be my MS lecturer as well, to ask for a general feedback on my performance on MS last semester.

She was the one who reviewed my MS assignment and she explained to me my mistakes and some advice to improve. She put in extra effort on showing me how to properly search for journal articles as background literature when writing our paper. And there i told her, 'Ms Chan, i really like MS and i'm pretty sure i will further my study on MS after this. So i want to make sure that my MS is doing fine.' which she did assure me that the mark i got, was fine. I felt so relief to have told her that and being told that my performance was fine. I remember the big bright smile that remained on her face after i told her that. It was true and i'm going to work harder for it. For a person to grow an interest on something, the contribution partly belongs to the teacher who cultivates him. That's what i believe. Thank you, Ms Chan.

I printed this book called 'The Geography Club', and finished it in one day, which is today. Great book. I don't know how to summarize it cuz it covered quite some topics but in short, it's worth reading. And it's a fiction. People said you won't learn anything from fictions and i usually say that's bullshit, you don't know how to read and appreciate! It taught me something today, and being grateful for such material, which was prohibited not until lately, to be published for public reading. LGBT materials btw. There's one thing about this thing, when you don't understand it, you read it and try to wear their shoes. Simple as that.

Great Monday

Spartacus

on Sunday, September 14, 2014
Recently i am heavily occupied by this TV show named Spartacus. I have no words for it because it was that good. First pulled me to attention was the fan-made video of Nasir and Agron on YouTube or this show would never bring to my notice. The war, gore, relationships of equal genders were beyond my expectation, it widened my knowledge about Rome and its tradition, slavery, gladiators, arena, architectures, albeit it's a show. There must be parts that come true from the facet of that Roman era. Fantastic!

And a fan-paint picture of Nagron as well.

'Here In Your Arms'

And i have a dream, too.

on Saturday, September 13, 2014
This morning was great. I had only one lecture and after that, Bavita and I went out together. We spent such a great time together. We walked around, chatted, and even spent 13 bucks on the arcade! The fun was even greater when i forgot to call for her before i turn or leave. I don't mean it sometimes it happened to me. God i need to change this! She resented me for that it was so hilarious.

I chatted with Priya on facebook and i don't know if i made a friend. I was chatting with her and out of a sudden a person named Paddy joined the conversation. He was Priya's friend in Australia. He was a pretty friendly person and it seemed like she started enjoying her life there. They were playing ping pong together and i can surely say, great life is creating.

And it was hard on me. Don't take me wrong i'm so happy for her. She has a great life, great friend, great study, great environment, what's not to be happy? But to have this kind of exposure, it was part of my dream. My family can't afford to send me abroad, i can't even support myself a college if it isn't for the loan i got from my government. I'm pretty sure i'm working for my dad by now fixing air-cond. It was hard on me. Or blunter, i'm pretty jealous of her, them, whatever.

So i was looking for an outlet. I went downstairs and played guitar for 30 minutes. And i spent 1 hour on some inspirational videos on YouTube. Those videos are speeches from a China competition and they were so great. I don't know i somehow feeling better. And as i grow older my eyes got shallower.

And it brought me back to days before where the ministry of defense came to my college to recruit medical professions to serve the country. It only open for those in the final year. I'm in the 3rd year so i wasn't qualified or i'm pretty sure i put in my name. Only one problem i have, they don't take specs. I wear spec and i'm ready to take surgery to correct my eyes. Who knows, right? You afraid? Of course i do... I don't know, it somehow gave me a way out... sorta escaping from something... This used to be my dream and now i'm not sure if that's really my dream or to just a route to escape... It's so hard to explain.

It's so great to have a dream to live for, to have a purpose to be alive. Who cares if it's big but you're alive for something, isn't that wonderful? That's what keeps us, or me, going. We thirst for people's yeses, we die for people to approve your existence. We are drawn back to a lot of things that we wished to do because we are too afraid of people's finger; their judgment. You must know, I must know, you are born not to adapt to the society, but to change the society's sickening traditions. You are not nothing, you are here for a reason so today, start living it, or you better off dead.

And i have a dream, too.

Pray for the best

on Thursday, September 11, 2014
Back to university and back to hectic study life.

The result was released this afternoon and felt slightly disappointed. Probably i expect better than what i got hmm...

Should work harder this semester... Cuz this that i'm studying will become my job once i graduated... and now this is part of building up my career so it's very important to me...

Work hard and pray for the best.

Abundance of good things

on Friday, August 29, 2014
A lot of nice things happened lately but i was too excited to write it down. I should have but i forgot, and excited. Let me think if i remember any...

Earlier of this week i posted a status on my class group on facebook saying that we should start the group work which was given by our lecturer weeks ago since next week we will be back to college. I sounded like a total loser who can't wait to study. It bothered me a little cuz' it wasn't true but i'm a overthinker and Bavita said i think too much i'm making shit in my head. So i'm letting it go but i still wanted to write it down here. I just don't want to mess with Ms Chan's works. She can be very harsh sometimes.

My dad fixes air-cond and the whether is turning cold so he seemed a little distracted and worried. I can't help him so i sat with him in the living room watching tv and started a casual conversation with him. That was all i can do. 2 more years, after that things will get better. By the time i graduate, things will get better. I promise.

2 days ago i met up with Eddy, Tammy, Jason, Bavita and Yin Yi. At first Bavita and I were expecting Tammy and Eddy only but who knows so many came. Bavita and I just wanted to do something decent for Tammy on her birthday. It was a late celebration cuz she wasn't in town. After the lunch the rest went back and Tammy decided to stay with Bavita and I when i said i wanted to walk around the mall for a while before hitting the road. So, she stayed and Bavita and i just spontaneously brought her to Haagen-Daaz. We ordered a fondue and albeit it was a little pricy but it was fine since we both work this holiday and we can afford that. Just hope that she liked it.

I'm reading this book Looking for Alaska by John Green and wow, he wrote it brilliantly. Very nice book and this is the only book i can't put it down at all after so long. I'm glad i get to read his book. And i finished quite a number of dramas, both Chinese and American's. I finished up Grey's Anatomy season 7 and a China drama Demi-God and Semi-Devil. This monk was extraordinary cute i find. Can't understand why i just feel so. I haven't felt this light and easy for so long and i really appreciated a very peace state of mind. I did not visit any places this holiday, not that i visit for the past few holidays anyway, but it was fine.. i think.. i still feel jealous that my friends get to go to so many places while i couldn't, only work work work. I will enjoy the taste of travel next time but perhaps now it's just not the time yet. God has got a plan for me, a good plan i hope. I talked to Priya few days ago too and i think i started to miss her depressing face.

Today, Sunday, it a great day!

on Monday, August 18, 2014
Today is a great day i had so many things solved, it's a fantastic day!

Priya and I had been having problems and i sent her a message about us and she responded. We talked for quite some time and yeah, we are fine now. I'm too happy yet worry about her. I do hope she's happy and fine in Tasmania.

Then, since it's Eddy's birthday Bavita and i decided to do something decent for him. So he came to my house and we went to pick up Bav and went to Great Eastern Mall. I planned to bring him to O'Brien's since he had never tried it and he had also never been to this mall, so i thought it will be nice. And, Great Eastern Mall has Alexis and Alexis has its signature cake- Tiramisu, and he could have a taste as well. All were planned nicely already. And we had so much fun. We talked about a lot of things and yeah, we had so much fun until we forgot to capture this memorable moment- a photo is what i meant, haha! But, we had so much fun!

I talked to my dad that this week gonna be my last week working for him cuz i desperately needed rest before holiday ends. I'd been working endlessly since holiday started. So my dad and I talked. Everything is fine now. I'm genuinely happy about it. Everything settled.

Siew Wen invited me to a reunion and i couldn't make it cuz' i have to visit my grandma in the hospital but it feels good to be invited. Haha! And Canris is back from India so we are planning to hangout together before August ends. Hope everything works out.

Today, Sunday, is a great day!

Love like my parents'

on Sunday, August 17, 2014
Quite a lot of things happened the last few days they threw me off guard but now i tidied up my emotion and i'm ready to come to drop down some words i could read it back again.

A few days ago i was very upset cuz i kinda disappointed my dad, in some ways. He's pressuring me in another way, but in a very polite way he told me a lot of things that made me very depress. He told me nice enough i should just take it and live life as normal but well, i'm not that kind of person. I took some time to let it sink and absorb so i was living in hell the past few days. But i'm better now after 2 hours away from home. Sometimes i resented him so much but in all way, i love him very much it is just that we don't express ourselves well enough in front of each other. We meant the same way for each other, we knew it ourselves, and we never complained. We walked a long way to this point, i appreciate it very very much.

A few hours ago my mom mumbled a few words to my dad and so happen that i overheard them. She asked my dad:

'Will you wait for me at the stairways to heaven?'
'Yes, i definitely will cuz' i'll be going first.'
'But my body is weak all day.'
'I think i overworked my body and i don't think i'll last.' He paused. 'but i'll be waiting for you so don't you rush to see me; you walk slow, alright?'

My mom turned away from him. That broke my heart a little. It was such a private conversation that is so achingly beautiful. I can't imagine him lying on the sick bed saying goodbye. I'll cry my eyes out. It was such a love that i hope i'll have one in the future. Just like them.

Eternal Summer

on Monday, August 4, 2014
I don't have much to write today, just a few things.

I started listening to this symphonic metal band Nightwish. I haven't finished the album i bought but the first track in the album was very impressive.

At night i watched a Taiwanese movie called the Eternal Summer. It's about gay romance. The story line more or less the same as this Thai movie called Love of Siam, the ending was kinda sucky. I hate heartbreaking ending, like Brokeback Mountain. But in general, it was a very good movie still. Got a little hangover afterwards. Like staring out of the window for nothing.

And Yu was really hot. Hahaa!

Livin'up to an expectation?

on Thursday, July 31, 2014
I'm having my holidays now. Or, not quite a holiday, i'm working the whole holiday to get some extra pocket money.

A few posts before i mentioned that i didn't know if i should work outside or for my dad. I picked my dad. Not that i couldn't get one out there but my mom said something that made me quite uneasy so i decided to help out my dad. But it's quite hard to get a place to work for just a month anyway, in all honesty.

Trying to get closer, trying to get closer. And now i'm seeing him every single second. You know you have some moments during work you are not pleased but because i work for my dad i couldn't whine at home neither can i whine in front of my dad's workers. So, it's not so easy.. And, yeah... something happened today.

Yesterday on the way back home my dad said something about his ex-workers. He said that he didn't know how to work. He hired him to work but all he did was standing akimbo. He fired him on his first day itself. I kinda relate it to myself not long after he said that and later then i told myself, probably i think too much because i too used to overdrive my brain. So, i left it behind because i'm still learning.

This afternoon when i was doing my work my dad pulled me aside. He said something, i would not say it's harsh but i wouldn't say it's pleasant. I uhmm... I don't know but it kinda bug me. My chest is feeling uncomfortable. I know i am working for even just a month i suppose to give all i have and be committed, but in my defense, i work for just a month, for extra pocket money, do i really need to learn all, learn to be perfect or something? My dad didn't really say that but that's how i feel. I feel nothing good. Part of the thing of working for your dad is you have the perk of not being humiliated in front of all the people, the workers as well aware of your presence, but also he's your father he would not do that, just at another way, a polite way. So you can't whine.  In all respect i know my dad is trying to train me in all aspect and i appreciate that, i really do. And i'm trying also... and now i feel like shit cuz' i can't live up to his expectation. The things he told me yesterday, i can relate even stronger now.

After his words i worked very hard in the remaining day my body is temporarily shut down. I climbed i think a story or two high on a ladder with at least 7kg Freon gas in my hand so i could do some checkings on the air-conds. I'm acrophobia. Do i feel afraid? Of course i do but i did it anyway. My dad didn't ask me but i wanted to. He wouldn't have agreed if i request to do checking on that highly held air-conds. I did it when he wasn't around. I want to show him that i can. About all he said, i can do all you said.

I don't know if the way i think is too much but... i really don't know, maybe i shouldn't have picked this job. Even getting air all alone without him is so hard now. Generally, I feel like shit today.

Tumblr, lamp and a card

on Tuesday, July 29, 2014
Today i met Frank at Times Square. He got me a few birthday presents that accumulated for years. A tumblr, table lamp and a card.

Starbucks tumblr, it looks beautiful that's undeniable. The lamp, it is a table lamp, looking cute and yeah... and a card. I read it on the train back home. So, i read. Again and again. Then i sent him a text saying the word 'thank you'.

The content basically... i don't know if i should say it here but in short, it feels good that the person knows and understands what you did for him/her. I would say, even though i know you know, it still feels good to listen to you saying that you know.

Whatever's done can't be undone but, thank you, after all these years, still bothered to let me know that you care. I've been waiting forever for that few words and now, i got it, genuinely from you. That feels very, very good.

20th July Sequel

on Tuesday, July 22, 2014
Today i had my final paper of the year and officially, i'm advancing into year 3! How was the exam? It was fine, nothing that was too bad, i hope i'll get what i desired.

To celebrate, Eddy, Tammy, Jason, Bavita and I went to Publika to had our dinner. Picking that place was actually my idea cuz' i had never been there i thought i could walk around that famous place. So, yeah. We had our dinner in a Spanish restaurant and something amazing happened.

The waiters cleaned the table and that was normal it happened everywhere, they clean it when the guests are done. So, we sat and talked for quite some time until the waiters came over and put down some plates and silverware. I didn't think twice i just find it weird 'is the waiters trying to rush us cuz' we sat too long?' Until Eddy sang 'Haaaaaappy ...' aloud, that gave me a shock. Like literally, that was a big surprise! I didn't expect a cake at all i didn't know when they bought it i didn't realized they passed it to the waiters! Tammy and Jason told me they wanted to withdraw money and called us to take a table first. I didn't suspect anything of course it was all about the dinner afterall, to me, which was totally wrong. Hahaaaaa! Even the table beside they sang the birthday song along, that was great! The cake was really special i can't remember what Jason *future chef* told me, but the lemon scent within the cake was so refreshing i love it!

That was a HUGE surprise man. Until Eddy called me to make a wish imma like... kinda long time no one calls me to make a wish i didn't know what to wish for. It was so great i had so much fun. We spent time walking around and chilled in 7-11. You know, talk and stuff. I had such a great time today. I've got some photos here, feel free!

Something about 20th July 2014

on Monday, July 21, 2014
20th July was my birthday but it wasn't a good time for birthday.

My grandma left less than 6 months of good health. When my mom broke the news to me my heart sunk. My dad's mom wasn't feeling that great either so they don't really have the mood to do anything, i don't blame them. Neither do i. 21st is my last paper of the sem, celebration a day before my paper didn't make me comfortable. It's the feeling of a paper to sit for and you're still having fun. Not good. Just feeling not good. So, you know, i don't have to speak much.

Anyway, my friends celebrated it humbly, simplicity at its best. We went Dragon-i for dinner and they said it was on them. That made me feel loved. Other than that, Yean went all the way to Damansara to get a cake she felt is nice for me as my birthday cake. It was indeed wonderful. And Yin called from Singapore to wish my, that, i feel even much loved.

Deborah, CCC's girlfriend, she prepared me a present. Although this time was the 2nd time we met and she prepared me one, that's great, that feels wonderful. Plus, she came all the way from Paramount to Ampang, got Yean to pick her up at the LRT station, to just attend the dinner. That was a plus. Thank you very much. I was very much loved.

But, before the dinner, which means earlier in the day, i got calls and texts from some friends that still remember my birthday. I hid my birth date on fb so i received no wishes. What are those wishes really meant? It meant nothing. It was just a manner to drop you a wish on your wall, on your birthday, that's all. Pathetic.

Bavita bought me a Captain America painting and it was wonderful. She remembered what i said when me, myself forgot. Tammy, Eddy and Jason wished me via texts and we are going out for celebration after our last paper. Chu Ting, Josephine, Jia Yin and Siew Mee called me a few minutes before 21st arrived. They sang me a birthday song through phone. I can hear from the background, probably in the resting area. It felt so so loved, you know? I didn't expect any of them to remember, but they did.

All my college friends did. What about the friend i claimed my best friend, she did not message whatsoever, nothing. I don't know what happened at Tasmania but it was a Sunday and yet... It's okay i didn't have much left of her. Whatsoever. Whatever. Just so you know, something came up between us.

Frank remembered. He sent me a text via facebook message. He wrote "happy birthday ~ 20/7 is a day that i will never forget in my life...have a blast." I don't know how should i feel about it. But i said thanks. Even he remembered. And i did appreciate very much.

Swee Mei kinda broke off from our group because of some problems and so, she commented on one of my facebook birthday post and said she'll always be there for me, things to be said to a birthday person, you know? It was great to hear from her it has been ages. I planned to ask about her and she dropped a comment. It felt great. I really hope she's doing fine at Singapore alone.

Jing Yi and Violet, my secondary school friends who so used to call me rainbow back then.. hahaaa! Kinda funny thinking about it. We had a pact. I will dyed my hair rainbow someday i said in the class back then and they took it so serious they are still talking about it right now. It was great to hear from them. Great to hear the familiar nickname. You started to miss all these small things you know, it's all part of the greatest memory.

And i'll wrap this post up with my beloved mother. I am nobody without her. Or i shall say, without my family. They are everything to me. I love them very, very much the last thing i will do is to hurt them. Thanks for all the patience you all put up with me when i'm having my 'angst' moment. Did i mention my mom made me a scarf and winter hat? She made it herself. That made them very special to me. She said i gonna use it someday and she might as well make it now. You know it's so sourish and sweet at the same time. I love you mom, and i love the presents you had me prepared.

I'm a blessed child. I'm nothing special i'm nobody, they made me somebody, they made my living worthwhile. Thanks for molding me into the person i'm very much fascinated by myself, love being it. But sometimes it sucks being me also but anyway, thank you. Thank you.

We travelled the world!

Should have done this yesterday but i was too tired already. I'll do the exact same thing here as i did on facebook. It's a fun day for both of us. Here they are...

It's Bavita Leong's birthday and therefore, i decided to plan her a world trip. You can still have a lot of fun travelling with limited budgets if you plan the trip well! We visited a lot of places with the world's greatest joy! Please read the description for more details about the trip!

Thank you for being such an amazing friend all these years! Happy birthday! :D

We kicked off our journey in Malaysia. We are gonna fly nowwww~

Our first stop is Korea. This is a country full with custom cultures and advance technologies! We stopped by a local restaurant to check out their foods!

This is the one, the fruit salad. I know it's not much of a local cuisine but this is just a starter, we have more to go.... moreover... click to check what happened...

The main cast is happy with it so... I'll say i passed!

Starting to the next stop, USA! We are now in the subway of New York City. We are heading to somewhere really busy and kinda looking forward to it! Haaaaaa!

Here is it! We reached Manhattan! It looked so good we wanted to stop by longer but our schedule was pretty packed so... Should stay a little longer next time!

Then, let's move to this cold, sunless place called London, England! We didn't make it on Christmas but summer but still, it was great to be here! The summer clothes were gorgeous!

Time doesn't ever wait so... Here we are, Germany! In occasion of Germany's victory on the 2014 world cup football game we decided to fit this place into our grave-packed list at eleventh hour! Let's see what they've got!

Okay... they have fine painting on the wall....
And Bavita is just too happy about Germany!

Here is it, the famous German sausages! The round thinggie behind the sausages was called 'Rosti' if i'm not wrong, it was soooo good! This local dish was definitely satisfying!

'Hey there! How's it going there!'

After a chain of celebrations threw by the Germans in Germany, of course that was cool haahaaa, we moved on to this romantic country, France. We didn't get to visit Paris but here this exhibition hall is full of arts that is hard to see elsewhere! It made us an art connoisseur for an instant! :DDD

Let's fly fly fly fly fly! Now, back to Asia, here we are, ShangHai, China! Personally, it is my hometown and finally i'm here to witness what made this city an outstanding city in China back in the 20th century!

Golden cheese rolls with prawn meat yummm....

We're now in Tokyo, Japan! We felt too bad for not trying the Kimonos... Damn...

Anyway, the streets were clean as it always has been, and bamboo-ish! I like it here!

The dream catcher. For a good night sleep they said. Perhaps?

From another view!

Was fooling around in the shop HAHA!

Leaving Japan, we started to Taiwan. I heard people say that Snowflake is a must-visit dessert shop; all the travelers have to stop by for this amazing ice dessert. Good for summer time yeah, killing off the heat!

Here we are, our last stop for this trip, Italy. We purposely came back to Italy because we accidentally left this out, how could I overlook! It's a country full with good foods the aromas are everywhere; the bread, pizza etc. And Bavita was holding the great artist Michelangelo, HAHA!

We came to this restaurant in Italy for a dessert that is so famous. Actually, we came back for this particular dessert! Look at the tables, chairs, painting and decorations, it's just killing people straight... In love with this country already!

Artistic chandelier. Does that consider a chandelier?

This is the one... Italian Chocolate lava cake!

While waiting for the cake here we take a 'selfie'. God i hate this line so much and yet i used it.

Here it is! Wow! Can't wait to try!

"But first, this is my birthday cake i deserve a picture with it and somehow we came back for this!"

Yes, my Highness.

Now, you gotta eat the ice-cream, the crispy texture of the cake, and the lava-hot melted chocolate together to get an overall impression; an undeniable mind-blowing sensation in your mouth causing an extreme firing of neuron network in your brain, like food-gasm! This is just plain amazing!

Before leaving Italy, haihh, sad-nyee.. Let us take a photo of the painting we both liked the most. Goodbye, Italy.

Love sculptures so much i have to take a photo!

Longest tunnel ever. Towards the airport. Do not get deceived by this low human traffics the airport was so freaking packed with humans. We thought we would have to overnight on the couch in the airport lol!

In a nutshell, great trip we had! Hope she likes it, and Happy Birthday, Bavita Leong!
